The Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development is responsible for the design and implementation of the Australian Government's infrastructure, transport and regional development policies and programs. POSITION DETAILS
Title: Administrative Officer (Infrastructure) (Part time – 20 hours per week)

Salary: AED 68,146 per annum plus AED 42,240 housing allowance per annum

ROLE
The Administrative Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the Infrastructure office at the Australian Embassy in Abu Dhabi. The position manages financial services, undertakes general administrative duties and arranges official travel and events as required. This position is part-time, requiring 20 hours per week.
DUTIES
The key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Manage general administration within the office including the coordination of all correspondence and record keeping.
- Provide administrative and organisational support, including program assistance and travel arrangements.
- Develop and maintain a contact database including CVs for key contacts.
- Monitor local media sources and identify and report on civil aviation developments relevant to Australian interests with the UAE, Qatar and surrounding regions .
- Conduct research and analysis on political, economic and security developments and prepare reports and correspondence as directed.
- Prepare accounts for payment, undertake procurement duties and complete asset stocktakes as required.
- Plan, forecast and monitor the office budget.
- Assist with program preparation and provide logistical support for visiting officials.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Ability to hold an Australian security clearance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Government policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the civil aviation industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
- Sound written and oral communication skills.
- High-level of initiative and ability to work independently within a small team.
- Ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
- Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Strong capacity to exercise discretion and judgement.

4. Aptitude to deliver a high level of service with confidentiality, discretion, tact and diplomacy
5. A demonstrated knowledge of civil aviation industry will be an advantage
ASSESSMENT
